Bio

Jodie O’Connor is an acclaimed interior designer whose work has been featured in Design NJ and NJ Countryside magazines, as well as in the high profile Designer Show House at the Mansion in Far Hills, New Jersey (where Jodie showcased “Oprah’s Reading Room” in May 2010). Jodie O’Connor is also participating in the Mansion in May 2012 show house, Glynallyn in Morristown.

A long-time New Jersey resident, Jodie obtained a B.A. in English Literature from Seton Hall University. She also attended Berkeley School of Design in pursuit of a career in Interior Design.

Jodie specializes in full service design and staging, performed primarily via the design firm she founded in 2000, Jodie O’ Designs. Through Jodie O’ Designs, she provides a broad spectrum of services in New Jersey for residential as well as commercial projects (including commercial banks and a high-end children’s clothing boutique). Her residential practice is known for its distinct combination of traditional appeal with contemporary overtones, providing a classic feel in a soothing and warmly understated manner.

A career in interior design has allowed Jodie to fulfill both her creative passion and her desire to provide a personal touch on each engagement. Her goal has always been to learn each client’s story and then incorporate the client’s ideas with her own expert vision, thereby creating a space which perfectly reflects the client’s life and individual style.
